NHS Pecan Pie Fundraiser Hey! Do you love pecan pie? If so have we got the fundraiser for you! NHS is currently taking orders for homemade pecan pies to be delivered Thursday, November 17, 2017, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. Pies are $15.00 each and are baked according to Mrs. Thompson's Granny's recipe, a sure-fired winner. See any NHS member or Mrs. Thompson to pre-purchase yours today! November 1st is the last day for sales. Just 1 week left to get yours!
Senior Deadline for Yearbook Seniors: the deadline for your yearbook materials is Monday, October 31. This includes formal/casual pictures, baby picture, and senior biography. Thaxton Photography is our official school photographer. If you get your pictures taken by Mr. Thaxton, he will see to it that we get your images. If you choose another photographer, it will be your responsibility to see that we get the images by the deadline. The senior biography is simply a list of high school club affiliations, sports activities, honors, etc. This may be written on a sheet of notebook paper. It may also be submitted electronically to email@example.com. Items may be given to Julia Thackston, Cori Rollins, or Mr. Schmidt in Room 505.
UNG Trip Attention SENIORS: If you are interested in attending the University of North Georgia in Oconee County next year, there will be a visit to the UNG campus on November 4th. If you are interested in attending this visit, please pick up the permission form from the main office, get it all filled out, and turn it in by November 1st. See your counselor if you have questions or concerns.
Hats Students, beginning today all hats must remain out of sight at all times in the building. This means from the time you enter until the time you exit. Please make sure your hats are put away.
Boys and Girls Basketball Try-Outs ANY YOUNG MAN INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT FOR BASKETBALL next MONDAY, MUST REPORT to COACH CRAIG OR COACH DERRICOTTE’S CLASSROOM!! Tryouts for basketball start Monday, October 31st at 3:30 p.m. You must have a current physical. If you do not have a current physical do not come to tryouts. NO EXCEPTIONS. IF YOU HAVE R&R, go there first and report AFTER R&R is over. DO NOT report to the gym. Tryouts on Monday start at 3:30 and will be finished by 5:30 p.m. ANY YOUNG LADY INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT FOR BASKETBALL next MONDAY, MUST REPORT TO COACH BECKER’S CLASSROOM. Tryouts for girls basketball start Monday, October 31st at 5:30 p.m. and last until 7:30 p.m. Again, you must have a current physical to be able to tryout. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Annual Beta Club Canned Food Drive The annual Beta Club Canned Food drive has begun! Bring unexpired cans to your first period teacher from now through November 18th. The first period class with the most cans wins a pizza party, and donated food goes to our local food bank. Help your community this holiday season!
